Poets who look to the muse for their inspiration are turning their attention instead to Facebook as the race to become Oxford Professor of Poetry begins in earnest. The deadline for nominations expires today and most of the seven candidates have already begun an online campaign to win the prestigious post once occupied by W.H. Auden and Seamus Heaney.
