this sober rythym guitarist reflects

  • joint rolled, band practice finished
    listening to playbacks
    on a battered deck
    those days were fun.
    smoke drifting
    sky high

    when we were one

    two, three, four. drum samples, bass
    maximum distortion
    guitars screaming in
    like bunnymen
    we echoed
    U2

    we were young then

    i still have the demo tapes
    smoke the occasional spliff
    but to be honest
    life ain't so good
    i drank so
    she left

It's a simple structure of syllable count decreasing then gaining.
