Magazine?

Post by the_leander »

What exactly do you mean by a "Magazine" when you talk about the future of sensitize? It's something thats been bugging me for a while now...

A good answer would help no end in finding a suitable CMS to tie the eventual sensitize/upstate site to

Hi Alan...

It has always been my intention, even with the former MSN Sensitize, to work collaboratively with other activists, artists, journalists, musicians and writers, to compile their work into an online e-zine. Any of these people looking to have a multimedia piece of their work produced could avail of our services at Upstate Renegade Productions but we're the first to admit, we don't know it all and are currently struggling with html / webpage designing and streaming media.

Sensitize would basically be the same as a magazine but with the added benefit of having interactive pages that link to other connected editions / materials or media. Any material that isn't interactive / multimedia, would be published in magazine format and sold to an offline audience.

Personally, I've been involved in community art's initiatives over the last 23 years, and campaigning while entertaining seems to be where it's at for me and quite a few others... It's also important that the content is 18+ / adult reading (but not pornography) and has a cutting edge to it that critically attacks or indeed overthrows / subverts government.

The best way to overthrow corruption is to educate as many people as possible and get them active in the 'bring-down' of world leaderships / dictatorships. It's why I've always had a deep respect for Mark Thomas. He and his team did the same thing through television and in doing so brought about much needed change or dialogue.

Hope this has been helpful to you mate... If you have any further questions, fire away man  ...
