HANCOCK — Every once in a while, a college student gets to do a class project which also benefits the community, and that’s the situation for Jared Johnson and some of his Finlandia University classmates.

Johnson, who is a management and marketing junior at FU, said he got the idea to put on a Battle of the Bands for credit in one of his classes.
