How dare Facebook / Instagram / Meta suspend and separate me from my (limited but evident and ongoing) work in performance to video writing, my general opinions on current affairs, my collaborations with other artists and writers, but mostly my memories of my dear Mother (Jean) and all the words of comfort and support I got from the public through the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland)'s Facebook page when she went missing. Then when she was found two and a half months later deceased. There wasn't much left of my Mum after nine weeks in the cold dark water of Lough Swilly and she had to be identified by comparing her DNA with my sister. A swift memorial service at O'Brien's Funeral Home down in Eglington a week later. Then off to Rose Lawn Crematorium in Belfast. I couldn't attend that due to illness so I have no memories of Mum's service. Her ashes were picked up by my cousin and taken back home to her birthplace in Scotland. Then laid to rest in my grandparents and other family members' plot at their local churchyard. I'm not fit to travel there. So the PSNI Facebook page really was like a kind of shrine for me to recall and reflect upon my Mum and all she taught me. Due to this suspension I can no longer access or see this and that's really distressing and painful.
Heartbroken and Sincerely, yours;
