And now for something completely different:

My new neighbours rock!

First, they're the most polite couple I've ever met, and have an adorable kid.

Second, they are considerate to a fault.

Third, when they had a party today, in order to "mitigate the noise" as they see it, they brought around some food.

As in, a full meal's worth of party food! And it's quality stuff, not your usual sausage on a stick rubbish, oh no, this is grade A scran.

So here I am, quarter past ten, full to the brim on what is probably the best meal I've had in weeks :D

I'll say it again, my new neighbours rock!

This was a public service announcement brought to you by a strange little ex navy Janner who is utterly gobsmacked at the generosity of people who are largely strangers!

There are good people everywhere Alan mate. I think a lot of us have become cynical of the world lately and shut our eyes to the simple gestures and wonders that make us human...

One question though:- Why didn't you email me a few chicken drumsticks? :P

Quite so, still shocked even now!

No chicken drumsticks in the collection... Sorry old bean, what!

Two slices of a very nice spicy meat pizza, an incredibly tasty (not to mention spicy) stew, some veggie samosas and a couple of round things of about the same size as the samosas (also veggie, and spicy) and a piece of their little girls birthday cake (chocolate). 8)

Probably the best feed I've had in months!
