Nice one Alan. ;)

Confession time for me though. I've been increasingly distracted with loads of stuff going on in 'real-time' and haven't had a chance to read much or design anything. Diesel (Diarmuid) is currently working with Flash Media to create some animations of time-lapse footage I shot, and we have taken onboard your tips about compressing Healing Herbs a tad more for downloaders. We're also working on enhancing the film with previously unreleased audio clips recorded while in England 2003, mixed over Flash Media animation...

I promise to read more of Legacy this weekend Alan. Please bear with me...

Thanks...

Just finished reading The Legacy up to Chapter 20, you have a standing ovation in my little corner. :D

It has been a breath of fresh air, so to speak.

When will chapter 21 be here? (still clapping)

Heh, good question, I've been evaluating linux as my primary OS, and after some false starts, a great deal of swearing and a lot of reading its all starting to come together... It seems my all singing all dancing computer has a few.... quirks that some distributions don't like, the one I'm using now seems now after some tinkering under the hood to have stabilised quite nicely.

Once I'm sure its not going to turn around and croak on me every couple of hours (bloody powersaving bugs), I'll be moving Legacy over I think. But assuming a couple of quiet evenings, I'd say a couple of weeks tops. :D

Good news: I've moved Legacy over and have started work on Chapter 21

Bad news: Due to inconsistancies between the two systems when making PDF's, I'll have to keep the older system in place to do that... Which is an arse.

With luck, I'll have it done by Wednesday at the latest. :D

Looking forward to it.

I have been printing off 'The legacy' to pass around for others to read.

I hope you're using a laserjet to do that, I can't even begin to think how many ink cartriges Legacy would consume to do even a couple of runs of it in its current form!

I'm also (still) surprised that anyone thinks its any good...

Beauty, and art, are in the eye of the beholder...

Vay, vay, drunk here...

Thinking about Irish rebellion, but also thinking equally about 3 pairs of jeans for £20.00 in Tescos...

Confused.

Derry.

Aahh, your so modest.

You should be looking at making money from The Legacy, i'm sure you could.

I'm using an inkjet printer, i've got 5 more chapters to print off on my first run. A friend gets my ink from ebay (very cheap), so i'm not worried.

BTW do you know that you spell grey (gray) in several chapters.

Quite possibly, the spell checker is, well quite frankly shite, its not EN-US or EN-GB, its sort of a bastard mix of the two that goes all over the place..

That too will be dealt with. AbiWords spellchecker is far superior over Gobe's

In truth, I just don't think its good enough, I mean seriously, could you honestly see yourself buying this in dead tree format?

I've considered adding adsense ads to the website, but with only 80-90 hits a month, I can't see that that would be especially profitable either...

Yes, I could see myself buying it 'in dead tree format'. I love books they are timeless...I like em far more than computers.

Its a good story and you should have faith in it.

I watched a documentary on some film-maker recently. He was talking about how he comes to make block-busters. (can't remember his name)

He said, 'If I read something, anything, that I can see will make me money, I act on it.'

I would imagine this would be the view of most people who enjoy making money. It's getting the right people to read it. I would personally send a few chapters to high profile people who could potentially help you or even give you some advice.

Drive people mad until you get what you want! It will be hard work but worth it in the end.

I have just done a google on you and 'The Legacy' I got no exact hits. I don't know how you would set this up, perhaps Lugh would know.
